Turbot

Scophthalmus maximus

The turbot is among the largest flatfish species and is one of the most sought-after and most valuable consumption fish in the North Sea. The fish is found on stony bottoms in the northern part of the North Sea. Turbot is often caught as a bycatch by Dutch fishermen and is landed fresh several times a week.
